Modern Mendix landscapes rely on increasingly complex release pipelines that combine build automation, approvals, backups, and scheduled deployments. In this release, AppControl introduces a new level of operational control by allowing individual pipeline tasks to be explicitly scheduled and governed.
Organizations can now define when critical actions—such as builds, deployments, backups, and restarts—are executed, enabling controlled releases with minimal downtime. The addition of restart tasks, configuration validation, and restore-backup capabilities further ensures that releases are not only automated, but also predictable, verifiable, and recoverable.
This shifts release pipelines from linear execution toward governed orchestration—aligned with enterprise change windows, compliance requirements, and operational risk profiles.
Governance Across Public and Private Cloud Mendix Deployments
Enterprises increasingly operate Mendix applications across a mix of Mendix Cloud, Cloud Foundry, and private Kubernetes environments. Until now, governance visibility across these deployment models has often been uneven.
With this release, AppControl adds support for Mendix for Kubernetes (Connected) as a supported hosting platform. This allows organizations running Mendix in private or regulated environments to apply the same policy checks and component insights they already rely on in public cloud deployments.
