Mendix scorecards help fight poor security and technical debt

The latest features in Mendix Operations Manager enable customers to see how well their apps are designed and configured, comparing them to best practices.

Utrecht, January 18, 2023 – Blue Storm, a provider of cloud-based solutions for managing low code platforms, has today released a new version of Mendix Operations Manager (MxOM). The latest features in MxOM enable customers to see how well their apps are designed and configured, comparing them to security and maintainability best practices.

The following new features added in this release of MxOM raise the bar for Mendix app governance:

  • Security Scorecards. MxOM will automatically scan your apps for the implementation of security best practices (E.g. using the default admin user, disabling demo users, setting default access rules) and present the results in an easy to use dashboard.
  • Maintainability Scorecards. MxOM will automatically scan your apps for the level of technical debt in your app (E.g. Age of the Mendix runtime, support status and age of used components, last commit to Team Server) and present the results in an easy to use dashboard.
  • App Status Dashboard. MxOM presents an overview of the status of the analysis of your app logs, app policy violations, and underlying hosting platform status to give a unified view of the current state of each app. 

The newest version of Mendix Operations Manager is available immediately for no extra charge to existing Blue Storm customers from the Blue Storm Customer Portal.
